Research and Evidence
Forecasted Africa’s programs: Are grounded in rigorous research and evidence-based practices to ensure maximum impact in Arusha District and across Tanzania. All interventions are informed by national surveys, peer-reviewed research, and global best practices, ensuring that resources address proven development challenges.
For example, the 2022 Tanzania Demographic and Health Survey shows that 31% of children under five are stunted, with rural areas, including Arusha, often reporting higher rates exceeding 45%, indicating urgent needs for nutrition, WASH, and maternal-child health interventions (DHS, 2022). Evidence also shows that malnutrition contributes to 45% of child mortality worldwide, underscoring the critical importance of nutrition-focused interventions (WHO Nutrition Facts).
Our work integrates community: Driven data collection, participatory assessments, and digital monitoring tools, allowing real-time evaluation of program effectiveness. For instance, in WASH programs, baseline surveys indicate that only 64% of Tanzanian households have access to basic drinking water, and about 50% have improved sanitation (UNICEF/WHO JMP). By linking interventions to these measurable indicators, Forecasted Africa ensures that every program addresses specific gaps backed by quantifiable evidence.
In education: research shows that while primary school enrollment in Tanzania exceeds 90%, retention rates drop significantly at secondary level, particularly among girls and marginalized populations (World Bank Education Data). Forecasted Africa’s evidence-informed interventions, such as mentorship programs and digital learning support, target these gaps, increasing attendance and literacy outcomes.
In livelihoods and agriculture: FAO reports that over 65% of Tanzania’s rural population depends on agriculture, yet yields remain low due to climate variability, soil degradation, and limited access to inputs (FAO Tanzania). Forecasted Africa integrates climate-smart agriculture, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship training, with ongoing monitoring to measure adoption rates, income improvements, and household resilience.
Across all sectors, we employ AI-driven data analysis, geospatial mapping, and real-time dashboards to track progress, identify bottlenecks, and optimize resource allocation. This ensures that interventions are cost-effective, scalable, and replicable, providing robust evidence for funders and policymakers alike.
By combining local data, national statistics, and global research, Forecasted Africa creates a strong evidence base that guides program design, strengthens community ownership, and ensures measurable, sustainable impact in Arusha District and beyond.
