Who We Serve

Forecasted Africa serves the most vulnerable and underserved populations in Arusha District, Tanzania, where persistent inequalities in health, nutrition, education, water, livelihoods, and economic opportunity undermine human dignity and rights. Our core beneficiaries include women and girls, who comprise the majority of the agricultural workforce yet frequently lack access to productive resources, formal employment, and decision‑making power. National data show that while women contribute up to 70% of agricultural labour in rural areas, they often receive less than 10% of agricultural extension services and credit, limiting household food security and income generation potential (FAO)

Children are also central to our work, especially those under five, among whom chronic undernutrition affects nearly 31% nationally, with stunting levels often higher in rural districts such as Arusha (DHS). These children face increased risk of impaired cognitive development, reduced educational attainment, and preventable illness without targeted nutrition, health, and protection interventions.

Low‑income and marginalized households, defined in national data as those living below the poverty line (nearly 26% of Tanzanians), are a key focus, particularly in rural Arusha where economic vulnerability, food insecurity, and climate exposure deepen poverty traps(World Bank). We prioritize interventions that improve household resilience, income diversification, and access to essential services.

Across all our programs, Forecasted Africa intentionally centers human rights, equity, and inclusion, ensuring that women, children, elders, persons with disabilities, and the poorest households not only benefit from services but also participate in planning and decision‑making, strengthening local ownership and sustainable outcomes.
