Monitoring and Evaluation
Forecasted Africa integrates a robust Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) system to ensure that all interventions in Arusha District are accountable, effective, and data-driven. Our M&E framework captures both process and outcome indicators, allowing us to track progress, measure impact, and adjust strategies in real-time.
Our approach begins with baseline assessments, using local surveys, government statistics, and participatory community mapping. For instance, child stunting in Arusha exceeds 45% in rural wards, informing targeted nutrition and WASH interventions (DHS 2022). Similarly, baseline education data indicate that secondary school completion for girls in rural areas is below 35%, guiding gender-sensitive education programs (World Bank EdStats).
We employ quantitative and qualitative tools:
KPIs and metrics: percentage of households with access to safe water, reduction in child stunting, school attendance rates, and adoption of climate-smart agricultural practices.
Digital monitoring platforms: AI-driven dashboards and mobile data collection systems provide near-real-time reporting, helping identify bottlenecks and optimize resource allocation.
Participatory M&E: community representatives, local leaders, and women’s groups are engaged in data collection and program review to ensure transparency and accountability.
Our system tracks output, outcome, and impact indicators:
Outputs: Number of households receiving improved sanitation facilities, children reached with nutrition counseling, farmers trained in climate-smart practices.
Outcomes: % reduction in diarrheal disease incidence, % increase in household income, % improvement in literacy and school retention.
Impact: Sustainable improvement in health, education, economic resilience, and gender equity within target communities.
Forecasted Africa also aligns its M&E framework with international standards and best practices, including SDG targets (e.g., SDG 2 – Zero Hunger, SDG 3 – Good Health and Wellbeing, SDG 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation, SDG 4 – Quality Education) (UN SDGs), ensuring that data generated is globally comparable and actionable.
Finally, our M&E system emphasizes continuous learning and adaptation. Monthly and quarterly reviews enable evidence-informed decision-making, ensuring programs are cost-effective, scalable, and capable of producing measurable impact for women, children, elders, and marginalized populations in Arusha District.
